Chemical disinfection is a chemical
disinfectant, usually with chlorine, chloramine, chlorine dioxide or ozone such
as strong oxidizing substances, and then interact with microorganisms to
achieve the purpose of antivirus. The advantage is that the anti-virus effect
is very good, the duration is long. The disadvantage is that it is only
partially effective, that is, it is very effective for bacteria and viruses,
but it is inefficient for protozoa (Cryptosporidium, Giardia, etc.), etc.
In addition, chemical disinfection itself has by-products, will bring some bad effects. For example, chemical disinfectants themselves should be placed in water, if the amount of pollution, by-products will also affect the taste of water, taste and so on.
Advantages of ultraviolet disinfector
1. high efficiency sterilization: UV sterilization of bacteria, viruses generally in one to two seconds can reach 99-99.9% sterilization rate.
2. high-efficiency sterilization broad-spectrum: ultraviolet sterilization broad-spectrum is the highest, it can kill almost all bacteria, viruses efficiently.
3. no secondary pollution: ultraviolet sterilization does not add any chemicals, so it will not cause secondary pollution to the water body and the surrounding environment, and will not change any components in the water.
4. operation is safe and reliable: traditional disinfection technology such as chloride or ozone, its disinfectant itself is highly toxic, flammable substances, and ultraviolet disinfection system does not exist such a safety hazard.
5. operation and maintenance cost is low: ultraviolet sterilization equipment occupies a small area, the structure requirement is simple, so the total investment is less, the operation cost is also lower, at the level of 1000 tons of water treatment, its cost is only 1/2 of chlorine disinfection.
