The ultraviolet disinfection method can be
divided into direct irradiation method and indirect irradiation method. The
precautions in using ultraviolet lamp disinfection include the cleaning of
ultraviolet disinfection lamp, the environment of ultraviolet disinfection and
the case protection measures of ultraviolet disinfection.
Methods of ultraviolet disinfection:
1. disinfection of the surface of the article: portable ultraviolet sterilizer
can be used to move the irradiation at close range, or ultraviolet lamp
suspension close range irradiation. Small items can be placed in the
ultraviolet disinfection box irradiation disinfection.
2. disinfection of indoor air:
Indirect irradiation method: the first choice is high intensity ultraviolet air
sterilizer, not only the disinfection effect is reliable, but also can be used
when someone is active in the room.
Direct irradiation: under the condition of no one in the room, ultraviolet lamp
suspension or mobile direct irradiation can be adopted. During indoor suspended
ultraviolet disinfection, the number of indoor ultraviolet disinfection lamps
installed is not less than 1.5 per cubic meter W, and the irradiation time is
not less than 30 minutes.
II. Matters needing attention in
ultraviolet disinfection
1. lamp surface should be regularly (every 2 weeks) with 75% alcohol cotton
ball wipe, remove the dust and grease above it, to reduce the impact on
ultraviolet penetration.
2. the ultraviolet ray is invisible to the naked eye, the blue light emitted by
the lamp tube does not represent the ultraviolet intensity. The radiation
illuminance value of the lamp tube should be detected regularly, and the
ultraviolet radiometer or the special indicator card for measuring the
ultraviolet intensity within the validity period can be used to determine
whether the ultraviolet lamp has reached the service life. All irradiation
intensity below 70 uW/cm2 should be replaced in time.
During 3. disinfection, the room should be kept clean and dry to reduce dust
and water mist in the air.
The suitable temperature range of 4. ultraviolet disinfection is 20-40℃. If the temperature is
too high or too low, it will affect the disinfection effect, prolong the
disinfection time properly, and prolong the irradiation time when the relative
humidity is more than 80.
5. only the side directly exposed to ultraviolet radiation can achieve the
purpose of disinfection.
6. can not look directly at the ultraviolet light source. Under ultraviolet
light work should strengthen personal protection, wear protective glasses.
7. when purchasing ultraviolet disinfection lamp, the supplier shall be
required to provide the relevant manufacturer's hygiene license and product
qualification certificate. The service life of ultraviolet disinfection lamp is
generally not more than 600 hours. If the lamp tube is unstable after opening
or the lamp diode becomes black, it should be replaced in time. It is
recommended to use ultraviolet illuminometer for daily monitoring to ensure the
effectiveness of ultraviolet lamp disinfection.
